SingUp4 Scotland

Welcome & Introduction
My name is Johnny Collington and I perform my well-loved Scottish songs across Care Homes and Day Centres, bringing the magic of musical memories to my audiences – who love singing along.

My Dad was diagnosed with dementia when he was 96 and what I found amazing was how the music and singing old songs together, connected us, right through to his final days.

Edinburgh Fringe

I’m performing my SING-A-LONG Scotland show for the first time this year at the Fringe.

Please come along to the LifeCare Centre in Stockbridge, Edinburgh, from Friday 7th to the 14th of August, from 3:00pm – 4:00pm. I believe this will one of the very few dementia friendly shows at the Fringe this year.

What to expect...

My show typically lasts 1 hour and features me playing guitar and singing a wide selection of (mainly) Scottish songs, whilst encouraging the audience to join in, singing, playing tambourines and sometimes dancing. It’s a fun filled and engaging 60 minutes.

I was featured as part of the BBC 1’s Breakfast Show ‘Rise and Shine’ feature. Click the image below (of my Dad Stan, me and Sean from Park Springs Care Home) to watch my short video.

Music, Dementia Awareness and Alzheimer Scotland.

In May 2026, I was nominated by Clare Adamson MSP and recognised by the Scottish Parliament for my work in bringing music to support people living with dementia.

I was delighted to be featured in the July 2026 edition of Alzheimer’s Scotland magazine, with the following article which describes my journey and plans.

Burns Suppers and St Andrews Celebrations

Thinking of adding something a wee bit different to your traditional Burns Supper?

How about introducing your guests to a sing-a-long version of ‘Green Grow the Rashes’, or singing all 5 verses of ‘Auld Lang Syne’ or sitting back and enjoying ‘Ae Fond Kiss’. Singing along to some of the Bard’s greatest songs will enhance any typical Burns Supper and the usual toasts.

Are you looking to arrange a St Andrews lunch or dinner celebration? I can come along and perform a short set showcasing some of the classics from Scotland, such as ‘Loch Lomond’, ‘Caledonia’, ‘Scotland the Brave’, ‘500 Miles’, to name but a few.

Get in touch to discuss your ideas and where I can help you make your Burns and/or St Andrews event even better.
